An Official Welcome

The Apocalypse has begun.

If this is your first time here, welcome. If this is not your first time here, we understand, and appreciate you.

Initial plans involved a coordinated, mythologically significant intervention involving war, famine, pestilence, and death. Swords were sharpened. Ledgers were prepared. Horses were saddled.

Upon arrival, it was determined that these measures were redundant. Humanity has demonstrated a remarkable capacity for self-directed escalation and does not currently require assistance.

A Change in Scope

The Horseman have been reassigned.

As a result, the Four Horsemen have been reassigned to covering the downfall of humanity.

Rather than introduce new catastrophes, we will be documenting the existing ones—many of which are unfolding ahead of schedule and under budget.

This site serves as an unofficial record of the Apocalypse as it is actually occurring, not as it was imagined, promised, or perhaps denied.

Editorial Policy

• We report only what is happening.

• We contextualize what was predictable and foreseeable, without sentimentality.

• We note what was warned about.

• We do not speculate unnecessarily.

• Reality is already doing sufficient work in that regard, so we defer to it.

• Corrections will be issued when facts change. Narratives will not.
